Today, January 21, 2007,
we mourn the loss of human life.
Today, we mourn the enormous suffering caused by this brutal war.
Today, we mourn the loss of 3048 American Servicemembers killed in
Iraq.
Today, we mourn the loss of 354 American Servicemembers killed in Afghanistan.
Today, we mourn the 655,000 mostly innocent Iraqi men, women and children
killed so far in this war.
Today, is National
"Sanctity of Human Life Day" as proclaimed by George Bush, Jr.
First known Vet on the scene Doug Bulski, Iraq Veteran. He worked on
this most of the day.
Today's display used around 120,000 of the white flags. Here are approximately
8000 of them.
Willow, one of the first Eugene Civil Resistors joined us today. Willow
wears a special badge of honor, she was one of
three people from Eugene who managed to heckle Bush during his Washington
D.C. inauguration in January of 2005.
