From the playwright:

The play was written in July of 2004 using the information, data and evidence available at that time. The information like the numbers of deaths, and those who have been tortured by this administration, has increased and only after we have some semblance of an open government will we know the extent of the damage we have caused to our nation and to Iraq.  The characters in the play were chosen for two reasons, one being that I was intrigued by their story, or that they had to be present during the trial. Here are characters you many not recognize.
Brendan Sullivan was Defense counsel for Iran-Contra scandal figure Oliver North. You may remember Sullivan's statement to Senator Daniel Inouye, "Well, sir, I'm not a potted plant. I'm here as the lawyer. That is my job." You may see him again. He is part of the defense team for Senator Tet Stevens of Alaska, on trial for taking gifts from contractors.
John Jay was the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, serving the Court from 1789-95. He was elected governor of New York in 1795-1801 and worked to free all New York slaves. After several attempts he succeeded in 1799.
Clarence Darrow was one of our great defense attorneys,. He was the defense attorney in the Scopes trial, ("Monkey Trial" evolution vs. creation.). There are books, plays and movies about his life.
Robert H. Jackson, our Prosecutor, was appointed by FDR to the Supreme Court in 1941 after years of effective advocacy. While on the Court, Jackson served as chief U.S. prosecutor at the Nuremberg war crimes trial at the conclusion of World War II. Some say he never recovered from the war crimes he had to investigate. He died in 1954
The wording for the charges came from the transcript of the Nuremberg war crimes trials and do not belong to the author.
