Question: What is the name of that song? Tell me more about it.Answer: "Kum ba yah" is the name. It is a song of worship and was sung by black slaves in the 1700's and early 1800's. I don't know this for sure but I would guess that the melody originates from Africa. The words certainly do. They are African for "Come by here".
