Computer problems plagued us across the country. One computer dead,
and two
partially crippled (sound card problems) out of the four computers
we brought with us on this trip.
We found this a bit amusing that this cross in Texas is billed
as the "largest cross in the Western Hemisphere".
Five miles later we find this 'leaning water tower of Pisa', also in
Texas.
We were very pleased to see this!
In the video above, Jack explains why he uses so many 'big' words.
Those many boring miles of freeway needed some spicing up!
Saw this wind turbine blade being transported - veeeeery long!
In St. Louis we dropped in on Veterans For Peace HQ for a quick visit,
press conference,
and photo op. Here Betsy Resnick hands a care package over to Malcolm
for our trip.
GREAT cookies!!!!!!!
Had a great visit, a wonderful lunch with Chuck and Cherie in town,
but domestic media was a no-show.
Anyone surprised?
Texas isn't the only state with a "thing" for huge crosses. This one
was in Oklahoma.
After arriving and getting lost in DC, we got a call from Mike Hastie,
a Portland VFP member
who asked if he could stay with us on our luxurious bus.
At the collage, we found a whole slew of IVAW, VVAW and VFP members
already present.
This picture was taken just a few minutes past midnight on the 13th
so is probably the very first official
picture of the Winter Soldier Investigation II.
