Browser Refresh Settings and considerations

Tell your browser to get with the program!
(this example specifically refers to Outlook Express version 6. Other versions of browsers have similar settings that you'll have to figure out)
You can change your refresh settings by going into "Tools", "Internet Options", "Temporary Internet Files" and then click on "every visit to the page". This will force your browser to always load web pages from the server they reside on, instead of from your local hard drive. Now you will always have the web latest information but the drawback is that it will take longer to load your pages when browsing. If you have cable it is probably not a problem. If you have a dial-up, 56K or otherwise, you might find your patience being tested.

Normally when I browse I don't like my browser to check each time, since I use only a 56K modem. I browse knowing this and when I realize I have to have the latest I just hold down the shift key and then press the "REFRESH" button. This forces my Browser to reload just the one page directly from the server it resides on.
