Voter Fraud in Ohio

I received a copy of a letter today that was drafted by the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives, Congress of the United States, directed to J. Kenneth Blackwell, Ohio Secretary of State regarding voter fraud in Ohio.   On the Internet go to, http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/ohblackwellltr12204.pdf.
The content clarifies many of the rumors and vague statements we have been hearing about this subject.   As an American Citizen and a veteran of 27 years of military service to this country, I am absolutely out raged at what has happen in Ohio.   It is amazing to me that little or nothing has been said to inform the public about what went on during the election there.   Sadly it probably occurred in other states also.   Collectively these complaints of fraud and tampering constitute a serious violation of the spirit of this nation and a direct injury to the people.   The citizens of this great country can not let these questions go unanswered. The facts are just too serious and represent an attempt to mislead and fraudulently deny citizens of their constitutional right to be able to vote in a credible process.

Specifically the letter demands answers from Mr. Blackwell listing thirty-four different questionable voting practices during the election.   It is clear that some of these complaints were directed towards minority voters to frustrate them from voting and in some cases, change the vote to credit George Bush when they tried to vote for John Kerry.  The letter references documented proof that voters from poor economically based communities were placed intentionally in voting situations where they had to stand in line for over eight hours to vote.   Can you imagine anyone having to do that here?  Minorities were the subject of a campaign of deception, where flyers and calls would direct them to the wrong polling place and provided with inappropriate forms or instructions that indicated they could not vote because they were in the wrong polling place.  Other examples include a lock down in Warren County, Ohio, by so called Homeland Security Agents who cited a non existent threat that had been relayed to them by an FBI Agent who has yet to be identified.  In Perry County, one precinct had the possibility of a total of 400 votes yet the official tallies indicate that 489 votes were cast and indications that some voters were allowed to vote more than once.  In yet another precinct, 350 voters were registered yet 434 voters cast ballots.  In Monroe County, 266 voters signed in to vote yet 393 votes were cast.  In Perry County officials reported an extraordinarily high level of voter registrations, yet upon examination a substantial amount had never voted and had no signature on file and most amazingly of all they were apparently registered all on the same day in 1977.  The total registered on that one day was 3,100 voters.  In post election canvassing, many ballots were cast without any valid selection for President.  In two precincts in Montgomery County the under vote amounted to 25% of the voters, this represents nearly 6,000 individuals who stood in line for hours declined to vote for President.  That just doesn't make sense.  In Miami County nearly 19,000 new ballots were added after all precincts reported thus boosting President Bush's vote count to 65.77% while Senator Kerry's percentage stayed exactly the same.  In Mahoning County numerous voters reported that when they attempted to vote for Kerry, the vote showed for George Bush despite numerous efforts to correct it.

Included in the long list of irregularities is the disproportionate placement of voting machines with fewer machines to the Democratic City of Columbus, and more machines to the primarily Republican suburbs.  First hand reports indicate that polling places appeared to have been moved from large locations, such as gyms where voters could wait out of the weather, to smaller venues where they were required to wait in the rain.  In Hamilton County officials refused to count provisional ballots cast at the correct polling place if they were cast at the wrong table in the same place.  Last minute directives to county boards changing the voting paper style led to confusion and the rejection of many valid votes.  In other incidents fraudulent flyers were circulated telling voters of a change in their voting place, phone calls were made to voters inappropriately telling them their voting location had changed and in African-American communities flyers were placed on doors telling voters to go to the wrong precinct.

These aberrations to the voting system are only a few of the fact based incidents documented in the letter from the House Committee on the Judiciary dated December 2, 2005.   This document totals fifteen pages and is filled with violations as blatant and corrupt as to clearly demonstrate a coordinated and corrupt attempt to manipulate the will of the people.  It is sad that only the Rev. Jesse Jackson has expressed his public outrage about what has gone on in Ohio.   This practice, if not investigated and prosecuted represents a violation of the Constitution of the United States and the beginning of the failure of our Democratic system of government.

How can we possibly ignore the evidence of this collection of allegations which constitute a misuse of the system and may have altered and suppressed votes, particularly of minorities and Democratic votes?  I don't understand how our population can remain so uninformed of the issues of the day and continue to remain so unconcerned.

America must wake up and look around.   The nation you once knew is about to change and it may not be something to be proud of.    It doesn't matter who you voted for, we must realize something is wrong here.   It is time to write your congressman and demand answers.  Do not allow our country to ignore such behavior.   These questions must be answered quickly and the State of Ohio must perform a recount of all the votes to validate the results.
